Alan Curbishley admits that West Ham United have not deserved anything in their last three matches.

The Hammers have suffered a trio of 4-0 defeats in the Barclays Premier League at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea.

The disappointing run has all but ended any hopes the club had of claiming a Euopean place this season and their manager admits that they are now just aiming to finish as high up the table as possible.

"To lose three games 4-0, albeit the opposition were quite good on the day, is disastrous," he said.

"You can't legislate for it and all I can say is that when you get it wrong you get it wrong, and in the Premier League now there's no in between. You have to get it right most weeks otherwise you will be punished."

"We are all connected in it, but there has been a common denominator in all the games that we've conceded early and in two of them conceded again straight away so you find yourself really up against it early on and it's difficult getting back."

"But I'm a firm believer that when the next game comes along that's a chance to do well and we play Blackburn at the weekend and it's another chance. I think for me that's all I'm going to focus on."

"Obviously I can't run away from what's happened in the last week, but I must stress it has only been the last week."

"We find ourselves 10th in the league, we've lost the last three and we are still 10th in the league, and if we can pick up starting this weekend then we can still start putting pressure on the teams just above us."

Curbishley was also keen to point out that any team would have struggled to maintain a high level of consistency if they were forced to deal with the number of injuries which have afflicted the Hammers this season.

"I think people forget, but I do keep reminding them as much as I can, that the players we brought in over the summer haven't played a game," he said.

"I think leading up to the Spurs game (Scott) Parker, (Kieron) Dyer, (Julien) Faubert, (Craig) Bellamy and Bobby Zamora hadn't played 20 games between them all season- so that's a big hit for anybody."

"I've got Danny Gabbidon, James Collins out, Matty Etherington, Lee Bowyer and others and that's been basically every week, so the players that have been playing have done fantastically well and they have been putting their lot in."

"I think the last couple of games have been tough and we've got it wrong, we've all got it wrong and we've got to get back to our best and give our fans some pride back."

"The last week has been painful and we've got to turn it around."
